Paradise Dental Institute launches this summer with its inaugural implant conference, Summers in Paradise, at the Atlantis Resort and Casino on July 30– Aug. 1, 2015.

The institute and the summer conference is the brainchild of Indira Darling, founder, CEO and dental technician. Darling and Dr. Derwin Munro, cofounder and clinical director, who are both Bahamian born and American trained, reportedly combine their love of dentistry and their beautiful country to launch the most comprehensive implant training program.

The institute is said to provide dentists and all team members with the surgical, theoretical, clinical and business skills necessary to build a successful implant practice. To this end, the faculty comprises oral surgeons, periodontists, general dentists, hygienists, lab technicians, surgical assistants and office managers/treatment coordinators. The faculty will reportedly provide continued mentoring and support to dental teams and they begin or advance in implant dentistry.

The conference will explore the theme “Navigating the Past, Sailing to the Future” and the exciting but also challenging world of implant dentistry. As the tides are changing, modern implant dentistry requires new skills as the use of digital technology from diagnosis to treatment planning and manufacturing has given way to a more predictable, cost effective and safer way to treat patients.

Speakers, who are also faculty of the institute, reportedly will help dentists navigate the rough seas of implant dentistry and showcase the techniques, procedures and technologies that they use to sail to success. The interactive morning sessions are designed to allow dentists who are new to and also experienced in implant dentistry a deeper understanding of when, why and how to treat their patients in this new world of implantology.
