During a recent one-day informal visit, renowned dental technician and ceramics innovator Willi Geller met with representatives from Ivoclar Vivadent AG at the company's headquarters in Leichtenstein.

The meeting between Geller and a range of Ivoclar Vivadent officials was about exchanging ideas and sharing experiences. They discussed market trends and technologies at length with a focus on weighing the benefits and shortfalls of traditional dental lab techniques against those of the techniques made possible by the latest technologies and materials, according to a press release from Ivoclar Vivadent.

Geller made sure to emphasize that when new products and techniques are introduced to the industry, care must be taken to ensure these products continue to provide dental laboratory technicians with the ability to provide both the esthetics and function required by patients in need of dental restorations.

Geller also spent some time learning about the esthetic possibilities available through Ivoclar Vivadent's IPS e.max system, according to the press release.

During his visit, Geller met with Marcel Schweiger, Director R&D Organic Chemistry; Tobias Specht, Business Unit Manager All-Ceramics - CAD/CAM; Prof. Heinrich Kappert, Director R&D Technologies; Armin Ospelt, Head of Global Marketing; Jürgen Seger, Head of Training Technical and Thomas Schaffner, Head of Lecturers Management.
