Software company Greyfinch releases Urgent-Hub for urgent patients

Article

Dental software development company GreyFinch has released a web-based application for connecting Arkansas patients who have urgent dental and vision concerns with providers.

Dental software development company GreyFinch has released a web-based application for connecting Arkansas patients who have urgent dental and vision concerns with providers, the company announced in a press release.

The application, “Urgent-Hub” prescreens patients for COVID-19 symptoms and determines if the patient’s need qualifies as urgent as outlined by Arkansas and federal directives for various healthcare sectors.

“With much of the ancillary healthcare community being required to limit their practice to only urgent or emergency care, we are hoping to help equip them with the tools they need to continue to serve their patients,” said Jake Gulick, with Greyfinch. “Urgent-Hub is meeting a very sudden and pressing need for patients across the state to be able to connect with providers who can administer the care that they need in a safe environment.”

What began as a partnership with the Oral Healthcare for All Foundation to establish urgent dental hubs across the state has grown in include optometry and ophthalmology hubs as well. Greyfinch continues to speak with providers in different specialties to expand the use of this tool, both in the state of Arkansas and across the U.S.

Functionally, the tool screens patients for COVID-19 related symptoms, prescreens for urgent need, provides scheduling locations, and a platform to manage those patients all within a simple web-based interface, according to Greyfinch. Depending on the outcome of the patient’s questionnaire, they will either be directed to an in-person clinical visit or a telehealth appointment.

“With such an unprecedented need, we really wanted to see how we could provide a solution. Our team has been working around the clock to bring this into reality. We went from idea to fully live in a matter of days and we continue working to build out features for additional health care vertical,” said Gulick.
