Renfert unveils new die spacers

Article

The underlay can be produced in three steps-hardening and sealing with the die:master duo, spacing with the die:master die spacers and separation with Picosep and the brush included in the set.

The die:master ivory and die:master aqua are said to enable ideal prep of stone dies.

The new spacers die:master ivory and die:master aqua (both from Renfert) are engineered to allow dental technicians to attain perfect preparation of stone dies for fabricating all-ceramic restorations.

The two new die spacers offer a coordinated layer thickness of just 10 μm for lithium disilicate, for example, and support the esthetic color effect with one of the most common shades (A2/B2 ivory and A1/B1 aqua). The die spacer die:master ivory reportedly offers consistent, extremely high steam-proof and scratch resistant surface thanks to a highly cross-linked spacer layer. The dies are permanently protected and the varnish produces the desired increase in size until the restoration is completed.

Modern pressable ceramics also involve a change of dimension. The water-soluble die spacer die:master aqua is designed to compensate for precisely this effect. The die spacer remains stable during the wax-up but, before the restoration is fitted, it can very easily be washed off again using water and a brush if necessary. This makes it easy to fit the ceramic restoration.

Reported die:master aqua (for pressable ceramics) features:

  • Easy handling thanks to high coverage.

  • The die varnish is stable during waxing-up whereas it can be easily removed with water.

  • Optimum compensation of the expansion with a layer thickness of only 10 μm per spacer layer.

Reported die:master ivory (for all-ceramics) features:

  • High esthetic effect and no color irritation during the fabrication process thanks to shade matched die spacer.

  • Extremely stable die spacer with highly steam-proof and scratch-resistant surface.

  • Dimensional augmentation of only 10 μm per spacer layer.

  • User friendly, optimum and systematic die preparation with the die:master set aqua and the die:master set ivory in the design organizer.

  • Faster and clearer access to all components of the system thanks to the stand.

  • High working comfort due to the integrated separating brush with magnetic holder.

  • Practical support for drying all types of die integrated in the stand.
