The Precise SHP Diode Laser System merges diode laser technology with the operating system of an Apple® iPod touch, reportedly enhancing everyday dental procedures with real-time tech support through FaceTime on the companion device.

The diode laser is reportedly ideal for a wide range of applications, including prosthodontics, periodontics, pain relief, implantology, whitening, and more.

Also, the Precise SHP’s ergonomic handpiece is outfitted with an autoclavable sleeve, allowing clinicians to use sterilized, disposable tips for every procedure.  Plus, a mountable laser base module offers up to 3 watts of power and pulse modes of 30%, 50% and 75%, as well as a built in iPod touch charger and Bluetooth connection.

The Apple iPod touch control is said to offer full operational command of the laser with 21 precise procedure presets, plus set-up guides, tutorials, training videos, and procedure demonstrations that offer clinical, technical and customer support.

Other features of the Precise SHP include a wireless foot pedal, a pain relief handpiece (pending FDA clearance) and a whitening handpiece (pending FDA clearance).
