A new series of reports from the American Dental Association analyzes the impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or “ObamaCare,” on the dental industry.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is designed to move the nation’s healthcare system toward better integration and substantially alter the way private insurers finance healthcare.

The first article in the series, which is introduced by by ADA President Robert A. Faiella, is a question and answer session designed to give dentists updated information on the law and its potential effects on dentistry in general. 

Some topics addressed in the first article include key provisions of the ACA, health benefits exchanges and issues about them that concern the ADA, how the law affects dental employers and consumers, and more.
