Pearl announced that it has been granted a patent to cover its machine learning process applied in Smart Margin® and Prep Assess® in order to make restorative fabrication more efficient, according to a press release from the company.
This patent will allow dental restorations to have more consistency and efficiency. Prep Assess will use the AI system to provide quicker feedback for doctors and labs. Smart Margin uses the technology to mark where the margin appears in the digitally scanned impression.
The patent granted for the AI system will enable a more streamlined restorative workflow.
