At the Greater New York Dental Meeting 2023, Dental Products Report had a chat with presenter, educator, and clinician Irene Iancu, BSc, RDH, CTDP, OMG, to talk about Infinity VUE Loupes from Designs for Vision. [2 minutes]

Video Transcription:

Hi, my name is Irene Iancu. I'm a restorative dental hygienist from Toronto, Canada. And I just presented on a product that is revolutionizing the way that we practice in dentistry. If you wear loupes and you wear standard telescopes, you know that although your magnification is great, and your posture may be great, you may also be still suffering with head and neck pain because of the angle of declination and bringing your chin down and forward designs for vision and I just presented on the incorporation of ergonomic loops into everyday practice. What these loupes do is they bring your chin up, they posture back, because you're looking for a prism, which means you're looking straight down at your patient, instead of having to bring your chin down in the line of vision. Generally, what you're doing is you're looking up and forward into a prism that will then show you your working field below. It's kind of like using a microscope, but the microscope is attached to your loupes. I had a really great presentation with a room full of people that were all humming and hawing and doing their neck stretches because they perhaps can sympathize with the pain that I suffered before I went into working with ergonomic loupes.

If you'd like to learn more about how to use these you can find out about them in 2 places: one on my instagram @toothlifeirene, and also on the Designs for Vision Instagram page has a lot of links for other products and how to get in touch with the sales rep for a 60-day free trial. That's right, no money, no strings, no nothing, 60 days free loupes, and if you don't like them, you can send them back so you basically have nothing to lose.

As a Canadian. I'm always very excited to come to the Greater New York Meeting because of how big it is. I'm so excited to walk the show floor see all of the new products and perhaps figure out what deals I can get my hands on to bring back to my practice.
