In the days before the 2014 Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting,Cosmedent has launched several new crown and bridge materials including MirrorImage, Gloss, Connect and more.

MirrorImage is part of a new product line that creates temporary crown and bridge restorations with special features for both dentists and patients.

According to Cosmedent, MirrorImage trims easily, has faster working and setting times, superior handling, strength and durability and a pleasant vanilla scent. Cosmedent adds that patients love that MirrorImage has a low exothermic reaction, excellent esthetics and a natural fluorescence.

The company has shared the following early customer feedback:

  • “Great combination of esthetics, strength and durability.”

  • “I love the esthetics and my assistant loves the shorter set time.”

  • “MirrorImage is the best product for temporaries and provisionals. Single and bridge temps were great too. I would highly recommend MirrorImage to everyone.”

The product is available in a 50ml, 10:1 automix cartridge in the following 5 VITA shades: A1, A2, A3, B1 and Bleach (OM2).

Also new is Cosmedent’s GLOSS, a light-cure one component acrylic varnish for intra-oral use on temporary crown and bridge materials. For dentists, GLOSS quickly creates a high shine for an esthetic temporary without leaving a messy smear layer. GLOSS also features patient benefits such as fast application, resistance to food and plaque accumulation and a polish.

New CONNECT is Cosmedent’s translucent, automix temporary resin cement for esthetic temporaries. CONNECT is dual-cure and translucent for increased esthetics. This temporary resin cement creates a great seal, is easy to apply, easy to remove, easy to re-seat and easy to clean-up.

Cosmedent says anyone interested can try CONNECT risk-free with Cosmedent’s 30 day free-trial guarantee.

New ADJUST is a light-cure flowable composite designed to correct and repair temporary crowns and bridges. ADJUST is color matched to MirrorImage, Cosmedent’s temporary crown and bridge material, and is also compatible with all bis-acryl provisionals.

For dentists, Cosmedent says ADJUST is easy to apply, shape and polish to a high shine. ADJUST benefits patients with its esthetic appearance and natural fluorescence. It is also free of methyl methacrylate.

Lastly, Cosmedent has introduces ADHERE, a non-eugenol zinc oxide temporary cement that features  optimized adhesion,  easy removal and fast clean-up.
