Clearfil Bond Plus all-in-one self-etch bonding system that is fluoride releasing, according to Clementino. It works with chemical cure or dual cure products.
The second newcomer is Clearfil DC Core Plus dual-cure core material that mimics how dentin flexes, he said. It is used to restore a tooth that has had a root canal done and mimics natural dentition.
The third new arrival is Clearfil SE Protect self-etching bonding system, said Clementino. It’s a two-step system and it’s anti-bacterial as well as fluoride releasing. It kills bacteria and creates a very stable dentin bond.
“This product with the doctor preparing the tooth properly, can equal the bond of enamel to dentin naturally,” he said. “So this is a very nice way to start your bonding systems to eliminate post-operative pain.”
Kuraray has many materials available to handle a variety of situations, according to Clementino. The company also is helping teach clinicians how to work with stress-reduced composites so that bonds are maintained long-term and people’s teeth can be saved.
