American Academy of Implant Dentistry Announces 2021 Award Recipients

The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) has announced its award recipients at the 70th Annual Conference in Chicago. Five different dentists were recognized for their work in implant dentistry and beyond. The 5 award winners are as follows.

• The 2021 Aaron Gershkoff/Norman Goldberg Memorial Award was presented to Joel L. Rosenlicht, DMD, FAAID, DABOI/ID, of Manchester, CT. Dr Rosenlicht was recognized for his work and achievements in implant dentistry.
• The 2021 Isiah Lew Memorial Research Award was presented to Jack A. Hahn, DDS, FAAID, ABOI/ID of Cincinnati, OH. Dr Hahn has made great developments in the field of implant research, making him a clear contender for this award.
• The 2021 Terry Reynolds Trailblazer Award was presented to Bernee Dunson, DDS, FAAID, DABOI/ID, of Atlanta, GA. Dr Dunson has made great strides in the dental community in terms of outreach and education.
• The 2021 Paul Johnson Service Award was presented to Shankar Iyer, DDS, MDS, FAAID, DABOI/ID, or Elizabeth, NJ. Dr Iyer is being recognized for his longstanding service in the field of implant dentistry across various appointments and committees.
• Finally, the 2021 International Dentist of the Year Award was presented to Robert J. Miller, DDS, FAAID, DABOI/ID of Delray Beach, FL. Dr Miller teaches implant dentistry around the world and promotes international knowledge of AAID.
