3Shape A/S, a global leader in 3D scanners and CAD/CAM software solutions, announces an exciting new collaboration with 3M ESPE that will provide laboratories with enhanced flexibility in their equipment, material and workflow options.

The new partnership enables 3Shape’s design output to be produced in Lava™ Zirconia through Authorized Lava Milling Centers and equipment. Additionally, dentists using the Lava™ Chairside Oral Scanner C.O.S will now be able to send their scans to laboratories that employ 3Shape’s Dental System™, greatly expanding their CAD/CAM possibilities.

“This partnership will create new benefits for many laboratories,” says Flemming Thorup, CEO of 3Shape A/S. “Users of ?both systems can now broaden their options in relation to workflows and materials, and additionally open a whole range ?of business opportunities with practicing dentists in the field.”

The 3M ESPE collaboration is in complete harmony with 3Shape’s goal to create versatile business modules that integrate ?smoothly with a variety of manufacturing solutions to benefit dental labs of any size.
