Dental Hygienist Shirley Gutkowski worked with Coltene for roughly two years on the development on the BioSonic® Suvi® Elite Plus. Working with Coltene, Gutkowski explains that the BioSonic® Suvi® Elite Plus was truly designed with the dental hygienist in mind.
“The No. 1 thing is that [Coltene] built this unit based on input from dental hygienists,” Gutkowski says. “The handpieces are thick and easily ergonomic, the sleeves come off … you can swap out the tips if you need to and there are over 60 different tips on the scaler side.”
She adds that the light on the working end is the “most outstanding” feature of the product.
“It really allows you to see what you’re doing and shows you where you’ve been.”
