Whip Mix has released the Bellus3D Dental Pro high-quality 3D face scanning solution for dental professionals. This app enables dental labs to create customized esthetic and functional smile designs, which provide visualization for patients and increase case acceptance.
The scan captures the full face and head with high detail and clarity and, for the first time, the scan virtually enables the laboratory to align teeth within the patient’s face.
The Bellus3D Dental Pro is designed to make sharing data between dentists and labs easy and helps the lab make more informed clinical decisions for improved dental designs. The information available to the lab includes 3D Aesthetic Guide Planes, which help position the arches when using the anatomy of the patient’s face.
The scan works with 3Shape and other design software to virtually articulate the arches using 3D facial features. The result is an integrated view of 3D face and teeth for vertical height adjustment. Facial scans also help with more accurate positioning of the virtual articulator.
