Communications platform Weave has announced that it is partnering with buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions company Sunbit to make BNPL technology more accessible for dental patients, according to a press release from Weave. This partnership will integrate BNPL with Weave’s patient communication platform, letting patients pay for treatment and therapies over time rather than all at once. This is said to alleviate financial burden from the patient, according to Weave’s Chief Product Officer, Branden Neish.

“Collecting payments is one of the most important patient interactions in a small healthcare practice,” said Neish in the press release. “Bringing Weave’s communications platform and Sunbit’s Buy Now, Pay Layer technology together creates a solution that helps practices provide a better patient experience while driving more financing revenue each month.”

Head of Platform Partnership at Sunbit Oded Vakrat, says that payment and financing solutions may encourage patients who have been putting off care.

“Too many patients are delaying dental care, new eyeglasses, or necessary pet surgery because of the upfront cost,” said Vakrat in the press release. “We’re excited to partner with Weave so that practices can focus on delivering top-notch care to more patients who now don’t have to worry about how they’ll pay for it. With Sunbit technology, 90% of patients are approved, and they can split their costs into manageable payments.”

This is a multi-year integration partnership between Sunbit and Weave.
