VOCO’s V-Print Splint Comfort Now FDA 510-k Cleared

VOCO America’s new V-Print Splint Comfort 3D print resin for the production of clear, strong thermo-flexible therapeutic splints and night guards is now FDA 510k-cleared.

Described as durable and esthetic, the biocompatible 3D printing resin allows for a precise fit to the teeth for optimal patient comfort. The high flexural strength and excellent wear resistance permits the fabrication of devices as thin as 1mm. The easy-to-polish V-Print Splint Comfort is clear, color-stable and odorless. All V-Print resins are sedimentation-free and therefore do not require shaking or “rolling” prior to use, VOCO America states.

V-Print Splint is part of a large and growing line of 3D printer materials from the manufacturer, and is engineered to work with, as well as validated for, a growing number of open-source 3D printers that include Asiga, Ackuretta, Dental Wings, RapidShape, Microlay, MiiCraft, Shera, Straumann and Solflex. Additionally, like all V-Print resins, it is included in the design software from 3Shape and exocad.
