VITA introduces AKZENT Plus CHROMA STAINS for shade correction

Article

The stains are said to help lab technicians and chairside-milling dentists reduce remakes with the wrong shade.

Achieving accurate and reliable shade matches is the goal of every dental professional, yet accomplishing that is not always easy. Thirty percent of restorations have to be remade due to an inaccurate shade match. But now there’s a simple fix.

Rather than remaking restorations with a poor color match, VITA has developed an innovative new product that reduces remakes by “rescuing” restorations with the wrong shade. The new VITA AKZENT® Plus CHROMA STAINS can change a shade value up to two shades darker, helping lab technicians and chairside-milling dentists reduce remakes that have the wrong shade.

The CTE-independent stains are universally accepted so they can be used on all common veneering ceramics, monolithic zirconium, silicate and feldspar ceramics. VITA AKZENT Plus CHROMA STAINS are easy to use and can correct chromasticity in just a few minutes, helping dental professionals save time and money. The stains are available in VITA classical and 3D-MASTER shades as a powder or paste.

VITA is a leading provider of innovative dental products. The company pioneered the field of tooth shade determination with the development of the world-renowned VITA classical shade guide and its proprietary VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER®, the first and only system of its kind that covers the complete range of natural tooth shades.  From premium denture teeth and veneering materials, to digital shade measurement, furnaces and CAD/CAM restorations, VITA helps laboratory technicians and clinicians deliver high quality and esthetic results to patients quickly and efficiently.
