Kettenbach’s line of composites, Visalys® Fill and Visalys® Flow have both been given the Catapult Education “Vote of Confidence,” for demonstrating strength, color stability, and esthetic quality, according to a press release from Kettenbach. To get this prestigious commendation, at least 90% of those that participated in the Catapult field test must have been satisfied with the overall use of the product. Per the press release, Kettenbach’s Visalys series was satisfying for 100% of field testers.

Fill and Flow are radiopaque and nano-hybrid, making them suitable for class I to class VI fillings. Both composites are light-cured, with Fill providing a smooth, packable material and Flow providing the stability necessary for minimally invasive fillings, per the press release. The Visalys variable shade system provides clinicians with options for many different colored teeth, including a bleach shade for brighter teeth and an opaque shade to cover discoloration. The chemistry in the composite lends itself to color matching the surrounding dentition, leading to a natural and unnoticeable transition.

These restorative materials being comprised of inorganic dental glasses allows for strength and stability in the restoration, as well as the biocompatibility that patients and clinicians desire to keep problems at bay.
