Diagnostic artificial intelligence (AI) platform VideaHealth has partnered up with dental organization 42 North Dental. Through this partnership, 42 Dental will supply some of its dental practices with VideaHealth AI for accurate diagnoses, according to a press release from the companies.

VideaHealth AI is designed to give clinicians confidence in decision making processes, as it analyzes patient X-rays to make diagnosis easier and more accurate. These algorithms, which are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, can integrate into practice software, and are based on VideaHealth’s dataset of more than 100 million data points.

This new partnership was done to help clinicians provide better care, according to Chief Clinical Officer at 42 North Dental, Michael Scialabba, DDS.

“When I evaluate partners for 42 North Dental I’m looking for cutting edge leaders that provide a new benefit to patients. We knew partnering with VideaHealth’s dental AI solution would bring the power of AI to dentistry and give our dentists a powerful tool to provide more accurate diagnoses than ever before,” Dr Scialabba said in the press release. “In turn, this helps our dentists provide the highest-quality dental care to patients through a combination of traditional dentistry and advanced digital aids like VideaHealth dental AI.”

VideaHealth will be deployed in several 42 North Dental-supported practices.
