Using Selective-Etch to Avoid Post-Op Sensitivity

Using the selective-etch technique may diminish the occurrence of post-op sensitivity. Using a self-etch adhesive or universal adhesive on the dentin will achieve good bond strength while avoiding having to use phosphoric acid on the dentin. The tubules will not be opened, lessening the risk of stimuli reaching the pulp and causing pain. Learn more about the benefits of the selective-etching technique.
