National Brush Day, an annual event in the US, is scheduled for November 1. Falling right after Halloween, this day serves as a crucial reminder of the significance of children's oral health and encourages the adoption of healthy tooth-brushing habits as recommended by dental professionals.
Parents are reminded to ensure their children brush their teeth for 2 minutes, twice a day, not only on National Brush Day but every day.
In line with their commitment to ensure every child maintains a healthy smile, the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) Foundation has designed an extensive National Brush Day awareness and marketing campaign. This campaign will target DTA members, partners, and clinicians nationwide. The theme for 2023 centers on encouraging families to "Share Your Favorite Toothbrushing Song," with a minimum length of 2 minutes, using the hashtag #NBDToothTunes. These catchy, kid-friendly tunes will be added to the National Brush Day "Tooth Tunes" playlist on Spotify, providing families with engaging music to brush along to while raising awareness about the importance of good oral health.
To help spread the word about National Brush Day among families, the DTA Foundation is offering free downloadable marketing materials for use in emails, social media, websites, and dental offices. These resources include social media graphics and captions, downloadable posters, email templates for practices and companies, the National Brush Day 2023 logo, and the National Brush Day "Tooth Tunes" Spotify Playlist.
"We are proud to raise awareness about the importance of children's oral health with our National Brush Day campaign each year," DTA Foundation Executive Director Sarah Miller says in a press release. "We look forward to seeing the outcome of this year's campaign as we continue to spread the message of good oral health habits in children across the country."
