In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the TeleDentists® is using virtual dental consultations to provide immediate access to dental care.
With social distancing and dental offices being urged to limit practice operations to emergency-only care, the TeleDentists believe that teledentistry is a solution as the virus continues to spread.
The company delivers help with dental emergencies, answers to oral health issues, and training/education for patients. These consultations are done in the patient’s home. The TeleDentsists can refer patients to dental offices when necessary and use electronic prescriptions when antibiotics or non-narcotic medication is needed.
Specifically, the TeleDentists can allow dental practices to deploy teledentistry for all follow-up visits, screen patients and encourage sick ones to seek medical care away from the dental office, and e-prescribe medications.
For patients, the TeleDentists can provide support for patients in pain who are self-quarantined or suspect they may have COVID-19, e-prescribe appropriate pain relief medications, refer a patient to an appropriate telehealth provider for a non-dental issue.
The TeleDentists have also announced a reduced price for online dental consults, which are now $49 for the next six weeks.
Interested potential patients can visit, theteledentists.com and click See A Doctor Now, while practices interested in offering teledentistry can contact Leah Sigler leahs@theteledentists.com.
