Teledentistry Partnership Connects Vitrudent and Guardian Life
Dental patients with Guardian Life's PPO insurance plan will have access to teledentistry care thanks to a new partnership between the insurer and Virtudent.
The partnership will provide approximately 7 million patients with teledentistry access 24/7 via both an online portal or by calling 800-506-8305. The teledental appointments are designed to help patients with pre-screening emergency situations, prescribing medications, and obtaining advice from dental professionals.
"Our research shows members are more likely to use teledentistry if it's covered by their dental provider," says Dr. Randi S. Tillman, chief cental officer at Guardian Life in a press release. "As a result, we are making it a priority to raise awareness for this new service with the goal of providing a safe method for members who need immediate access to high-quality dental care."
