Special Care Dentistry meeting planned for April
The Special Care Dentistry Association will hold its 25th annual meeting on Special Care Dentistry April 18 to 21 at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, La. The Association has announced that the meeting’s opening keynote speaker will be Kenneth E. Salyer, M.D. The craniofacial surgery pioneer will present inspirational stories from and sign copies of his new book, "A Life That Matters."

CE session highlights during the four-day event include the following:
- The Pursuit of the Perfect Child: Implications for Cultures and Special Care Policy, by Rick Rader, M.D.
- Pharmacologic Management of the Geriatric Patient: Practice Considerations for Oral Health Care Professionals by Ann Spolarich, R.D.H.
- Hospital Dentistry Programming, parts I and II; a live patient demo course, Acupuncture to Treat Radiation-induced Xerostomia, by Dr. Timothy Halligan
- Managing Medical Emergencies in Dentistry, a two-part workshop by Dr. Robert Henry
