SmileDirectClub Introduces Premium Aligner Treatment CarePlus

SmileDirectClub has announced that it’s introducing a new premium aligner offering called CarePlus. CarePlus customers can now visit a Partner Network dental office to receive a 3D scan where a customized treatment plan is then prescribed based on the data received from the scan. CarePlus is led by dental professionals and adds a concierge team for remote or in-person checkups as well as 24/7 treatment question availability, according to a press release from SmileDirectClub.

“CarePlus provides meaningful value for customer, checking all the boxes of assurance, convenience, and expertise,” Chief Marketing Officer of SmileDirectClub, John Sheldon says in the press release. “This new service model provides an affordable and increasingly personal approach while delivering the same level of tech-forward experience people expect from SmileDirectClub.”

This hybrid offering will also give customers access to a selection of SmileDirectClub’s oral care products, including teeth whitening, toothbrushes, and an oral care kit. The in-person experience offered with CarePlus was created to give patients more confidence in their treatment plan, according to Chief Clinical Officer at SmileDirectClub Dr Jeffrey Sulitzer.

“CarePlus offers consumers a unique hybrid choice that can give them even more confidence across the entire treatment journey and let them select the aligner plan that works best for them and their lifestyle,” Dr Sulitzer says in the press release. “Like our original offering, CarePlus provides professional, proactive guidance from start to finish, results to trust and smile about, with the added benefit of the in-person experience if that is what the patient prefers.”

Currently, CarePlus is available in locations in Denver, Colorado, San Diego and Sacramento, California and Orlando, Florida with plans to expand across new locations in the United States and Canada.
