SilverPlug® is described as the only dental material in the world certified for the specific use as a filler and sealant for closing the screw access hole on implant cementable abutments or screw retained crowns.
Developed in Switzerland, SilverPlug utilizes silver zeolite, a naturally occurring substance, in a pliable polymer material to allow adaptation to the area over the fixation screw, adapting to the geometry of the space as it is placed. The silver zeolite is a natural antibacterial material that prevents the formation of biofilm and bacteria. Typically, micro-movement of the implant abutment allows bacteria to form inside the implant screw access hole that may cause periodontal disease around the implant.
