Dental artificial intelligence group (AI) Overjet and group purchasing organization Sevāredent Sourcing Solutions will join together to expand AI offerings to dental practices, per a press release from the companies. Sevāredent, who provides services for 2000 dental practices, will now add the highly beneficial and FDA-cleared AI x-ray analysis from Overjet.

“AI-assisted dentistry is the future and aligns with our goal to provide practices with solutions that will elevate patient care and lead to better health outcomes,” President of Sevāredent, Blake Hibray says in the press release.

Overjet’s AI is created to help clinical teams get a better look at the patient’s x-rays, as it is able to outline decay and quantify bone loss in an easy-to-visualize way. Not only does Overjet analyze x-rays, but it also is able to look at patient records to monitor treatment needs over time.

This partnership guarantees that Sevāredent practices can now benefit from Overjet’s advanced AI technology which will be a huge help for practice staff, according to founder and CEO of Overjet, Wardah Inam.

“Overjet and Sevāredent are united in our mission to improve oral health care,” Inam says in the press release. “We’re excited to bring our AI technology to their network of practices to help dentists diagnose with more data, leading to more precise, customized treatment recommendations.”
