Dr. Tony Hewlett was an early adopter of digital technology, making the switch from film x-rays to digital intraoral radiography back in 1996. A loyal Sirona customer, Dr. Hewlett has always employed Schick intraoral digital sensors and recently upgraded to the new Schick 33.

“The clarity and detail that I see in the images taken with the Schick 33 is amazing,” he said. “When I use the Schick 33 sensor, I can see some fantastic detail.”

What has been the staff’s response to the Schick 33?

My staff’s response to the Schick 33 sensors has been excellent. They love the image quality and that they can manipulate the image to highlight areas for patients. My staff is very happy that the sensors are comfortable, which makes it easier to take the images.

What has been the patients’ response to the Schick 33?

Our patients tell us the new sensors are very comfortable and they are happy they have the ability to see the image details on the monitor. The comfort is unequalled-the Schick 33 sensors are far more comfortable for my patients. Before I switched to Schick intraoral digital sensors, I would hold the tiny x-ray film up to the light to show patients the decay. They would just say, “Uh huh, I see that,” but many would then later tell me that they couldn’t really see what I was showing them. The image quality is so great on the Schick 33 that now they tell me they can see everything.

The Schick 33 delivers an unparalleled combination of high-resolution images and dynamic image control. Would you recommend this product to a colleague?

Yes. The Schick 33 sensors give us far greater detail. I see things with these sensors that I would not have seen before. The clarity is amazing! With the Schick 33, I find more treatment to perform on my patients. This is a win-win situation because I am more productive and my patients receive smaller, more conservative restorations. The clarity and detail that I get with Schick 33 sensors is far better than any of the other sensors that I have evaluated.
