The AAPD is the recognized authority on children’s oral health and advocates for children’s oral health by promoting evidence-based policies and clinical guidelines; educating and informing policymakers, parents and guardians, and other health care professionals; fostering research; and providing continuing professional education for pediatric dentists and general dentists who treat children.

In the AAPD Resource Center, there are links for the following information:

- Parent Education Brochures

- Clinical Photo Library

- Resources for New Dentists

- HIPAA Forms

And much more. Plus, there is an entire library of the latest, up-to-date oral health policies in pediatrics.

For example, if GPs need to know the official new or revised policy on “The Use of Lasers for Pediatric Dental Patients,” “Model Dental Benefits for Infants, Children, Adolescents, and Individuals with Special Health Care Needs” or much more, they can search and browse the library here.
