Thanks for joining us on another episode of ProductBites! I’m your host, Kristin Hohman and as always, I am here to deliver the latest product launches across the dental industry. If you have any suggestions or feedback, I’d love to hear them. You can find us on Twitter & IG at @DPR_Magazine. And while you’re there, make sure to follow us since we post all the latest product & industry news, as well as clinical techniques and practice management tips!

So with that, let’s get to this week’s new products!

Sonendo CleanFlow

  • Sonendo has announced the launch of its CleanFlow® instrument.
  • The CleanFlow was created for the GentleWave system and is said to provide a less invasive option for root canal therapy,
  • This new instrument allows for a procedure that does not require sealing caps or depth gauges, and it contains a SoundBAR inside so that the inside of the tooth can be cleaned from the outside.
  • CleanFlow is also said to incorporate a fluid management mechanism as well as a technology called SoundCue™ which enables audio cues so practitioners know when the optimal seal is achieved.
  • This comes with a FlowView™ window for visual cues and monitoring.
  • CleanFlow is also designed to be used with just a 1-hand operation, which is said to improve the patient experience for its comfort and efficiency.

Medit i700 Wireless Intraoral Scanner

  • Built on the success of its predecessor, the new i700 wireless intraoral scanner from Medit is a newly designed wireless wand with the same speed, accuracy, and lightness.
  • The scanner is said to offer a smooth, quick scanning experience that is powered by 60 GHz wireless technology for a high-speed connection.
  • All-day scanning is supported by a single battery offering 1 hour of continuous scanning or 8 hours in standby mode.
  • The camera captures up to 70 frames per second, collecting more data with each pass in realistic color and crisp images.
  • Its updated design features a reversible tip and wider scanning area, allowing for easy, comfortable scanning at any angle with no constraints to movement.
  • A convenient remote control button allows clinicians to check scan data from the scanner itself and also show data to patients.
  • It also features a self-disinfecting UV-C LED, which keeps the unit clean.

Perfect Touch Micro Applicator Brushes from Dental Creations

  • The new Perfect Touch Micro Applicator Brushes are used for placing etchants, sealants, and bonding agents.
  • These brushes are bendable in any direction to allow precise application in hard-to-reach areas.
  • The fibers hold solutions, so there is no spilling, dripping, or waste.
  • Other features include non-absorbent; a lint-free brush tip; and optimal access to difficult areas.
  • Perfect Touch Micro Applicator Brushes are available in tubes containing 100 brushes and are offered in Purple – Fine, Yellow – Regular, Green – Regular, and Blue – Large.
