Product Bites Script

Welcome to Product Bites a weekly podcast from Dental Products Report providing you with a rundown of recently launched and updated dental technologies, materials, instruments, and everything else you might use with patients or while running your practice.

I’m your host, DPR Editor Kellie Nock, and on this week’s podcast we’ve got 7 new products with launches from Dentimax, Medit, Roland DGA, UP3D, Dentbird, Orthoselect, and Yapi.

So let’s get to it and learn about these newly launched dental products.

First up

We have the 1.5 Open Sensor from Dentimax, a potential game-changer in patient comfort and imaging precision. This compact sensor boasts an 11% reduction in size compared to its predecessor, the Size 2 Open Sensor. Based on feedback from dental clinicians, it promises to exceed expectations in size, image quality, and affordability. Notably, it has received high ratings from the Clinician’s Report, a testament to its performance. Plus, with a scintillator upgrade and other enhancements, clinicians can expect crisper images for precise diagnoses.

Next, let’s talk about the Medit i900 intraoral scanner, designed to optimize scanning experiences with its intuitive Touch Band and Touch Pad functionality. Offering speed, accuracy, and comfort, this scanner enables smoother, easier scans with improved quality. With button-free operation and ergonomic design, it caters to all clinicians, providing control from any angle. Its advanced features, including a 3rd-generation Optical Engine and real-time feedback mechanisms, ensure precise scans even in challenging conditions. Powered by MeditLink, it grants access to a suite of dental apps for enhanced productivity and patient care.

Now, onto the 3DXPRINT, a 4K LCD 3D printer crafted to complement milling solutions for fast, precise, and cost-effective dental printing. Suitable for both clinics and labs, its compact design and large print size offer versatility and efficiency. With print speeds ranging from 10 to 50 mm per hour and compatibility with over 20 resin manufacturers, it’s a reliable choice for dental professionals seeking quality and speed in their 3D printing endeavors.

Moving on to the P55D high-end dry milling machine by UP3D, engineered to streamline milling processes with precision and efficiency. Featuring a high-speed electric spindle and versatile material compatibility, it promises 24-hour continuous milling without compromising quality. Remote control capabilities, intelligent milling alerts, and structural optimizations ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Ideal for a range of applications, from inlays to crowns, the P55D empowers dental practitioners with customizable solutions for enhanced production efficiency.

Shifting gears, let’s explore the world of dental artificial intelligence with Imagoworks’ Dentbird Batch software. Designed for mass production, this AI-powered tool automates crown design processes, enabling users to process multiple cases simultaneously. Utilizing AI algorithms, it analyzes data to deliver autonomous design results in less time, enhancing productivity for medium to large dental labs. With features like the 3D viewer for real-time customization, users can fine-tune designs with precision before finalizing files, ensuring optimal outcomes for every patient.

Next up, we have the DIBS AI 8.0 integrated software and hardware platform, tailored for orthodontists seeking streamlined digital indirect bonding. With new features like DIBS AI Online for browser-based case approvals and Automated CBCT Integration for comprehensive patient views, it promises to expedite treatment times and improve case outcomes. Offering treatment presets and improved bite correction tools, it empowers orthodontists with enhanced control and efficiency in their practice.

Lastly, we have an exciting announcement from Yapi, the software solutions company, introducing email marketing campaigns to its patient experience platform, Yapi Leap. With professionally designed templates, smart filtering, and engagement reports, dental practices can now leverage email communication to connect with patients more effectively. Whether you're a single-office practice or part of a multi-office setup, Yapi Leap’s browser-based email campaigns offer convenience and customization, making patient communication a breeze.
