Product Bites – January 26, 2024 Podcast transcript

Welcome to Product Bites a weekly podcast from Dental Products Report providing you with a rundown of recently launched and updated dental technologies, materials, instruments, and everything else you might use with patients or while running your practice.

I’m your host for this week, DPR Editor Kellie Nock, and on this week’s podcast we’ve got 6 new products with launches from EDS, Sikka.ai, Vyne, Dental Xchange, Centrix, and Solutionreach.

So let’s get to it and learn about these newly launched dental products.

First up

Essential Dental Systems has announced the integration of the Enhanced Dental Solutions (EDS) formula into their CEMPOWER Luting Cement. According to a recent press release, this integration combines the cutting-edge EDS formula with the enhanced performance of CEMPOWER, creating a high-performance material. The EDS formula introduces transformative enhancements, such as a novel rheological profile for smooth and precise handling, adhesive monomers for a superior bond to zirconia, and fillers designed to enhance bond strength. This integration is set to revolutionize the way dental professionals experience CEMPOWER.

Next up, Sikka.ai has launched Optimizer X, an enhanced business performance solution designed specifically for Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) and dental practices. This upgraded dental software integrates state-of-the-art artificial intelligence with user-friendly interfaces, catering to the unique needs of DSOs and dental practices. With features like Advanced Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, Automated Workflows, Customizable Dashboards, and Secure Data Management, Optimizer X promises to elevate patient care, improve practice efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards. It's a comprehensive solution that aims to transform the way dental practices operate.

Now, let's turn our attention to Vyne Dental, a dental revenue technologies company that has launched Image Sync, an enhancement to the Attachments feature in its revenue acceleration platform, Vyne Trellis. This innovative addition is designed to save time, reduce errors, and streamline workflows in dental practices. Image Sync integrates with supported imaging systems, allowing users to attach high-quality patient images to claims seamlessly. With features like direct access to patient images and patient-specific images, Image Sync bridges the gap between claims, attachments, and imaging systems, creating an integrated and user-friendly platform for dental professionals.

In a move to simplify the payer credentialing process, DentalXChange has introduced CredentialConnect. This credentialing platform aims to save time, increase revenue, and streamline the credentialing process for dental practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs). CredentialConnect digitizes and automates almost all dental insurance company’s credentialing forms and requirements into a single uniform platform. With a 3-step application submission process and proactive notifications for re-credentialing, this platform ensures providers get paid on time and eliminates manual processes for dental practices.

Centrix has announced its latest product offering, SilverSense SDF™, a silver diamine fluoride solution designed to reduce hypersensitivity and provide comfort for patients awaiting restorative treatment. Formulated with 38% silver diamine fluoride, this desensitizer acts fast to harden softened dentin, allowing clinicians to place restorations without concerns about sensitivity. With antimicrobial properties and remineralization capabilities, SilverSense SDF is a promising addition to dental materials. The tinted blue material ensures easy visibility, and it comes in different package sizes for convenience.

Lastly, Solutionreach has introduced advanced dental insurance management capabilities, including Insurance Verification. This key addition aims to empower dental practices by automating manual insurance-related processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and leading to faster collections. With automated verification workflows, enhanced patient communication features, and seamless integration into the Solutionreach platform, dental practitioners and staff can view, request, and verify patient insurance coverage and status in seconds, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
