Povi•One 10% Povidone-Iodine Oral Antiseptic Available in Unit-Dose Applicators

Elevate Oral Care’s Povi•OneTM features the antiseptic power of iodine and is formulated to serve as another tool in the battle for improved oral health. Povi•One features 10% Povidone-iodine in unit-dose, flow-through applicators which control the dose of this effective oral antiseptic agent.

The kit of 6 treatments is designed for the first dose to be applied in the dental office, with the remaining doses applied at home providing treatments beyond the patient’s visit to the dental practice. The application frequency is based on the risk level of the patient, according to the manufacturer.

The company also offers Povi•One in a flow-through unit-dose applicator kit. It provides the trusted antiseptic activity of 0.45 ml of 10% PVP-I in each of 6, flow-thru applicators for ease of application.

Povidone-iodine reduces glucan production, which is vital for polysaccharide production. Polysaccharides are the sticky substances that allow bacteria to cling to teeth.
