Planmeca releases update for PlanCAD design software
Planmeca has announced an update for their PlanCAD design software, part of the Planmeca FIT CAD/CAM system.
Planmeca announced a software update for the Planmeca PlanCAD™ design software, expanding the possibilities for a completely digital workflow. The Planmeca™ FIT System ™ utilizes an advanced all-in-one software suite featuring Planmeca Romexis™, and now Planmeca has added more features to enhance the digital impression experience for both the dentist and the patient.

Planmeca PlanCAD 5.8™ features expanded material options with translucency selection from GC and VITA, as well as sharper models for improved margin detection and marking. Improved, full arch and buccal bite modes allow dentists to scan multiple bite segments for optimal model alignment. In addition, blue occlusion indicators aid in determining the perfect bite. Color has also been further enhanced for a sharper, more accurate representation of what is truly seen in the patient’s mouth.
