Planmeca introduces the ProMax 3D LE

Article

The 2D and 3D imaging system is combined with the power of Planmeca Romexis imaging software.

Planmeca introduces the new Planmeca ProMax® 3D LE, which reportedly provides a 2D and 3D imaging system that’s combined with the power of Planmeca Romexis® imaging software. The new Planmeca ProMax® 3D LE (Limited Edition) is said to be the gateway to Planmeca 3D imaging systems, offering great value without sacrificing quality.

“We’ve listened closely to dentists at tradeshows and focus groups and many tell us they would like to offer their patients our key diagnostic and safety features like SCARA robotic technology and ultra-low dose imaging capability,” says Brett Hines, president of Planmeca USA. “However, they also tell us the cost of entry to get into 3D technology is high.”

Hines says the new Planmeca ProMax® 3D LE is the gateway imaging system that will open 3D technology to all dentists. The new LE is designed to allow dentists to offer technological advances to their patients now and upgrade as new features come available in the future.

“Clinicians will appreciate the unique Planmeca ProMax® technology platform, which allows for future upgrades and updates to the unit,” Hines says.

The Planmeca ProMax® 3D LE is software-driven and designed around SCARA (Selectively Complaint Articulated Robotic Arm) Technology. “This results in keeping your imaging and diagnostic technology current without reinvesting in a new unit,” he says.

Dentists can now reporteldy plan and verify implant placement using the realistic implant, abutment and crown models included in the Planmeca Romexis® software. The implant library offers more than 66 manufacturers’ content and is frequently updated. Dentists can superimpose a soft-tissue scan and crown design with CBCT data – creating the perfect environment for implant planning.

The large Ø11x8 cm volume size is engineered to allow imaging of upper and lower arches, including the 3rd molars or airway and 3rd molars, in a single scan. Visualize and measure the airway within the easy-to-use Planmeca Romexis® imaging software that is included.
