Philips has announced the launch of its latest Sonicare toothbrush, the Sonicare 9900 Prestige with SenseIQ technology. Said to be Philip’s most advanced electric toothbrush, the Prestige is designed around the user, delivering a personalized cleaning experience by sensing the user’s brushing style and adapting.

The SenseIQ technology is designed to sense, adapt, and care for all of the user’s teeth and gums. The 9900 Prestige uses sensors to detect the applied pressure, the cleaning motions used, and the coverage achieved—up to 100 times per second. The sensors also monitor how long and how often users brush. Most users apply too much pressure, which is why the Prestige automatically adjusts intensity when the brush is pushed too hard.

The Prestige features a premium all-in-one brush head, which is designed to brush away plaque, remove stains, and care for gums without the need to change brush heads and do guesswork on the modes. The bristles are angled to reportedly help remove up to 20 times more plaque while providing flex to compensate for any excess pressure. Its triangular tips are designed to remove up to 100% more stains in less than 2 days and the longer bristles are said to provide a deep clean for gums that are 15 times healthier.

The 9900 Prestige is compatible with the Philips Sonicare app, which is powered by artificial intelligence. When used with the Prestige, the app provides real-time guidance on pressure, motion, position, duration, and frequency of brushing. It also offers progress reports by day, week, month, and year, with personalized recommendations and actionable steps for better brushing. The Prestige also features an auto-sync function that keeps the app up-to-date, even if users forget their phone.

The Sonicare Prestige 9900 comes with a compact, vegan leather travel case, which includes an integrated USB-C port and a USB charging cable to recharge the toothbrush without removing it from the case.
