Ultradent Products, Inc has been a leader in teeth whitening for 3 decades and now the South Jordan, Utah dental manufacturer has launched the first online version of its popular Opalescence™teeth whitening line. The new Opal™ by Opalescence® teeth whitening line is available online without the need for a dental visit.

With Opal by Opalescence patients now have access to great results and a safe, gentle, and affordable whitening experience in the comfort of their home, according to the company.

The whitening system’s prefilled tray whitening options—available in Classic and Gentle formulas—come with 7 prefilled upper and lower trays that easily conform to any smile and are designed to stay in place, provide superior coverage and whiten up to 4–5 shades for quick, visible results, according to the manufacturer.

Opalescence whitening, the professional teeth whitening brand behind the new Opal by Opalescence, started over 30 years ago when Jaleena Jessop, DDS, now Chief Clinical Officer for Opalescence whitening, was a teenager. Her father Dan Fischer, DDS, founded Ultradent.

As the story goes, Dr Jessop wanted to whiten her teeth and would often ask her dad, a dentist, to develop a better solution to whiten teeth. At the time, some of the available options to whiten consisted of “unreliable liquids and potions” that offered minimal results and all too often came with maximum sensitivity, according to Opal by Opalescence.

After many hours in his lab, Dr Fischer developed Opalescence™ teeth whitening, and the breakthrough gave his daughter—and many others—the confident smile she'd yearned for. Eventually he formally founded the brand, which was well received and played a big role in helping the teeth whitening industry experience a big boon. Opalescence whitening's sticky, viscous gel, innovative delivery methods, and optimal results have made it a global leader in professional whitening. Ultradent has a vast portfolio of take-home and in-office whitening solutions, and now there’s an online offering from Opal by Opalescence.

"While there are many teeth whitening options out there, research has shown that nothing beats professional whitening through a dentist. But not everyone can access professional teeth whitening. So, in creating Opal by Opalescence, our goal is to finally offer a safe whitening system that people can experience from the comfort of home and still get premium results, regardless of their ability to access a dentist,” remarks Dr Jessop in a press release. “Opalescence whitening, Opal's parent brand, has professionally whitened over 100 million smiles worldwide, so we're confident that the science-backed formula and innovative prefilled tray delivery system we've created for Opal is by far the next best thing to a professional teeth whitening treatment that's ever hit the market."

Opal also offers both Original Whitening Toothpaste and Sensitivity Relief Whitening Toothpaste, designed to remove surface stains and whiten teeth by up to 2 shades in 1 month, according to published research

Opal by Opalescence is currently offering a special product bundle—The Glow-Getter Kit—that features either the Classic or Gentle prefilled tray teeth whitening paired with the brand's Original or Sensitivity Relief Whitening Toothpaste.

Formulated by the clinicians behind Opalescence™ teeth whitening, Opal by Opalescence is the brand's first direct-to-consumer whitening line. It features a full lineup of teeth whitening products, from prefilled whitening tray kits (available in 2 concentrations), to specially formulated whitening toothpastes and whitening refill options.
