IPS e.max® ZirCAD Prime Block

IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime blocks are designed for speed sintering, making them optimal for use in single-visit dental workflows. Crowns milled from the blocks can be sintered in just 15 minutes using Ivoclar’s Programat® CS6 sintering furnace or in 16 minutes using the CEREC® SpeedFire furnace from Dentsply Sirona. The fast sintering does not affect the material strength because the fired crowns feature a flexural strength of 1100 MPa, and the material can be milled with walls as thin as 0.8 mm for posterior crowns. The block is available in size C17 and in shades BL1, 0, A1, A2, A3, B1, and C2. IPS e.max ZirCAD Prime blocks offer a natural shade and translucency progression from the dentin area to the incisal edge of the blocks. The transition is created by using 3Y-TZP zirconia powder in the dentin area and 5Y-TZP zirconia powder in the translucent incisal area. Additional details and esthetics can be added with Ivoclar’s corresponding glazing and characterization systems.
