New 3D/2D X-ray System Axeos Wins International iF Design Award
This X-ray system from Dentsply Sirona has won this product design award for its form and everyday function.
Dentsply Sirona
The iF Design Award is to recognize exceptional product design, and how well it can be incorporated into business and everyday life. This year, Axeos has received this award.
Axeos is a 2D/3D imaging solution from Dentsply Sirona. It features comfort, image quality, and a connection to the Sidexis 4 software. Axeos is said to offer classic and standard panoramic exposures with the lowest possible dose as well as an operability that would allow ease-of-use for any practitioner or specialist.
A jury of 98 awarded the Axeos system, citing its form and function as a reason for its superior marks. Group Vice President and Digital Devices & Solutions at Dentsply Sirona Niels Plate said this award demonstrates the company’s advances in dental design.
"It confirms our goal of offering our customers solutions that stand for high clinical safety, patient comfort and efficient treatment processes. A successful form and functionality of the device contribute to this.” Plate said in a press release.
Axeos also received the Red Dot Award in 2020 for product design.
