Keystone Dental Holdings recently announced the commercial launch of the GENESIS ACTIVE Implant System, a complete restorative portfolio of dental implant solutions based on more than a decade of research and development.

“The GENESIS ACTIVE Implant System is a game-changing innovation that marks a new area in dental implantology. With a solid commitment to meaningful innovation, patient care, and scientifically proven concepts, we aim to redefine the standard of implant procedures,” Melker Nilsson, CEO of Keystone Dental says in a press release. “The GENESIS ACTIVE Dental Implant System brings together a robust portfolio of dental implant technologies into a single solution that is intended to empower dental professionals to deliver clinically proven implant treatment with greater efficiency.”

The new dental implant system features a single connection, 3 emergence profiles, and multiple restorative platforms designed to simplify the restorative protocol while ensuring esthetic restorations that mimic the natural tooth contour. The GENESIS ACTIVE Implant System offers a range of distinctive features designed to enhanced both efficiency and esthetics. The AnaTite™ pink anodization process is designed to emulate the hue of natural soft tissue on the coronal aspect of the implant solutions. This process has been shown to align collagen fibers perpendicular to the implant surface which enhances the mucogingival seal and overall esthetics of the case.

The GENESIS ACTIVE implants are coated with a BioSpark™ surface treatment which is designed to mimic natural bone, and promote rapid osseointegration, making it ideal for immediate load protocols. This process produces an increased implant surface area which is enriched with calcium and phosphorous ions that provide an optimal environment for osteogenesis. The conical implant connections are said to provide a secure implant-to-abutment interface that offers a bacterial barrier and high mechanical stability. The connection supports platform switching to enhance bone preservation and soft tissue health.

Implant placement is made simpler with the use of the Digital Guidance Sleeve (DGS), a tool that enables guided implant placement without the need for drill guide keys, while allowing for increased entry angles in limited spaces.

The GENESIS ACTIVE Implant System includes a range of abutment options. For multi-unit cases, a line of pink abutments with concave profiles designed to reduce the need for bone profiling. These abutments include the ANGLEBase® Abutment with 0° to 25° angle correction in a 360° radius. The concave design of the emergence profiles helps increase soft-tissue volume and improve blood supply, promoting efficient healing and optimal gingival esthetics.

Specifically designed for areas with limited interdental space, the ELLIPTIBase® Abutment allows up to 20° angle correction for screw-retained solutions. The abutments feature the innovative SelectGrip® surface treatment that is designed to enhance restorative adhesion to the final prosthetic by up to 5 times when compared to untreated abutment surfaces.
