The winner of Keating Dental Lab’s NCAA Tournament bracket challenge donated all winnings to a dental charity.
Keating Dental Lab's March Madness Tournament would have rewarded a $100,000 prize for a perfect bracket.
Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) received a $3,000 donation from the winner of Keating Dental Lab’s NCAA Tournament bracket challenge this year.
Derek Van Volkom, an employee at the advertising agency Lanmark360, won the bracket challenge after entering for the first time. He donated the entire cash prize of $3,000 to DLN as a way to give back to the organization, according to a press release from the company.
DLN is a nonprofit that provides free dental services to veterans, disabled and elderly patients who don’t have insurance.
