KaVo Kerr announced their digital intraoral sensor can now be fully integrated with a practice management system at the end of last month.

The DEXIS™ Titanium by KaVo can now be used in conjunction with the Dentrix Ascend, by Henry Schein One, which is a cloud-based practice management system, both companies said in a joint press release.

Clinicians can now seamlessly use their existing Dentrix or Ascend imaging software with the Dexis Titanium, the winner of the 2019 Cellerant Best in Class Technology award, the press statement said.

“This integration between DEXIS Titanium and Dentrix Ascend means that we are enabling clinicians to access our sensor’s robust range of intelligent, intuitive features while protecting their current software investments,” said Jordan Reiss, Director of Product Management, KaVo Kerr Imaging, North America. “Elevating extraordinary imaging into efficient workflows saves clinicians significant time, costs, and disruption to their practice. We look forward to continuing to create the connections that allow our clinicians to focus on efficient, quality patient care.”

“Henry Schein One is committed to working with forward-looking partners, such as KaVo Kerr, to provide Dentrix Ascend customers with the latest integrated innovations that help boost practice efficiencies and simplify the digital workflow,” said Henry Schein One CEO Jim Harding.

Released nearly a year ago, the DEXIS Titanium features SMART technology and CleanCapture to provide exceptional image clarity. The Titanium also uses DEXIS PerfectSize™ and TrueComfort™ design, making it the only comfortable, single-sized sensor for adults and children, the press release said.
