The new relationship will help Modern Hygienist to reach a new audience while allowing Kara RDH to continually expand her presence and role as a hygiene thought leader.
A new era is beginning for Modern Hygienist as Kara Vavrosky, RDH, comes on board as the brand’s editorial director.
Vavrosky (commonly known as Kara RDH in the industry) is well known through the dental hygiene community thanks to her Facebook page Dental Hygiene with Kara RDH, which has grown to have more than 67,000 likes and has become one of the most popular stops on Facebook for hygienists.
How popular is her Facebook page? A recent GIF that she posted gathered 1.1 million views … and is still growing.
Additionally, Vavrosky operates DentalHygieneAnswers.com where dental hygienists can ask questions in what Vavrosky calls “a safe environment” and receive feedback from Vavrosky as well as hygienists throughout the country.
Along with her social media presence and extremely popular Web site, one of the things that has made Vavrosky so well known amongst hygienists is her interaction with them on a personal level. Vavrosky says that if she receives a message from a hygienist, she makes a point to personally respond within 24 hours.
Vavrosky will be working with Modern Hygienist on a number of levels, including curating content and working with group editorial director Kevin Henry on articles that truly tackle the tough topics that hygienists face on a daily basis.
