Dental hygienist Nancy Miller discusses reducing aerosol generation and practicing safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dental consultant and hygienist Nancy Miller, RDH, talks with Dental Products Report Editorial Director Noah Levine about the changes in the way she practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. For Miller, these changes are not so drastic, because she has been talking about the risks from aerosolized bacteria and viruses for years. Miller also has learned a number of ways to manage and mitigate the risks from these aerosol clouds.

In this video interview Miller discusses changes to personal protective equipment, the use of high volume ejectors, pre-procedural rinses, and other strategies to reduce aerosol risks and protect both patients and clinicians.
