IES 2020 will migrate to online

Ivoclar’s Vivadent’s 2020 International Expert Symposium will go virtual amind the Coronavirus pandemic, the company announced.
The IES will allow customers and partners to explore opportunities and insights on the latest dental topics in an interactive format. Participants can expect presentations from dental experts from all over the world, including scientific chairman Assoc. Prof. Jean-Pierre Attal.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Bertand Piccard, the initiator behind Solar Impulse, the first aircraft to fly without fuel. His lecture “Embracing the Unknown” will give tips and ideas on how to be a pioneer in life and inventing a better future.
“We’re convinced that this decision is the right path for us. As an innovative and reliable partner, we want to fulfill our philosophy and meet our customers’ needs in providing first-hand information about the latest trends and developments in the dental world, even in this challenging time. By hosting the IES 2020 as an online event, we are taking the current situation into consideration and at the same time providing our customers and partners with an attractive platform,” Ivoclar Vivadent CEO Diego Gabathuler said.
The convention was originally scheduled to be held at the “Les Salles du Carrousel du Louvre” convention center in Paris. However, the event will retain its original dates, June 12-13.
