Henry Schein will sponsor and attend events for the Memorial May campaign to show its support for U.S. military veterans.
Henry Schein Cares, the global corporate responsibility program of Henry Schein, has announced its support of the Carry the Load® Memorial campaign. The Carry the Load Memorial Campaign is a month-long Memorial Day awareness campaign that was created to honor those who have died while serving in the U.S. military. It is a non-profit organization founded by 2 veteran U.S. Navy SEALs to honor and memorialize those lost while serving.
“Eleven years ago, we founded Carry the Load to remember our friends who made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Carry the Load Stephen Holley in a press release from Henry Schein. “The Memorial May campaign inspires people of all ages to join and remember our fallen heroes, and we thank Henry Schein Cares, North American Rescue, Henry Schein Dental, and Henry Schein One for their contributions to help support our mission.”
As part of this support, Henry Schein team members will walk in the National Relay, attend a rally, fundraise, and take part in virtual events. Henry Schein will partner with North American Rescue (NAR) to sponsor the following rallies and the Dallas Memorial March:
According to a press release from the company, this support demonstrates Henry Schein’s commitment to serving veterans in finding affordable and accessible health care, including oral health care. The Henry Schein One Center of Excellence in American Fork, Utah offers care to veterans and others in the community.
“As members of the health care industry, we know firsthand how many individuals, including veterans have inadequate or no access to health education, hygiene materials, medical care, or emergency care resources,” CEO of Henry Schein One Mike Baird said in the press release. “This is why a culture of volunteerism is so important to each of us, and by uniting to support organizations like Carry the Load, we can ‘help health happen’ within our communities.”
Henry Schein will take part and sponsor events in the Memorial May campaign. It kicked off on April 28, 2022.
