For each R&D Services amalgam separator, every product comes with three key features that make it a cost effective and smart investment for any practice.

Dental Products Report caught up with the R&D Services team at last month’s California Dental Association “CDA Presents” meeting to learn more about its amalgam collector products.

Key features of each amalgam separator product include the following: with an R&D Services purchase, it’s a one-time only purchase. With the amalgam separators, buyers also have options for waste disposal and get to choose their placement and size of separator-ultimately what is best for each practice.

“Our technique for capturing the amalgam waste is to first collect all of the waste water produced in the dental office and then to pull that waste water and then hold that waste water overnight for the sedimentation process to be completed,” explains Dr. Ross Fraker, dentist and president of R&D Services, Inc. “And finally, to release that water the next working day so you have more room to capture fluids coming out of the dental operatory.”
