CHICAGO, IL – September 2012 – Hu-Friedy, a global leader in the manufacture of dental instruments, announced today that its online dental hygiene community, Friends of Hu-Friedy, reached a significant milestone with the addition of its 25,000th member.
Friends of Hu-Friedy provides an interactive experience for the dental hygiene community with opportunities to share stories, experience products, gain continuing education credits and obtain insights into delivering optimal patient care. Launched in August 2007, The Friends of Hu-Friedy portal has become the go-to resource for hygienists who want to learn about the latest products, techniques and educational opportunities that will help them perform at their best.
The new membership of Angela Blaney, RDH, a practicing clinician for 14 years, brought the community to the 25,000-member mark. A graduate of Indiana University Northwest, she lists EverEdge scalers, the Sidekick Sharpener and Swivel DirectFlow Ultrasonic Inserts as some of her favorite Hu-Friedy products. In recognition of her status as the 25,000th member, the company provided Angela with a gift basket full of Hu-Friedy items.
