Gendex brought a little something different to this year’s Greater New York Dental Meeting.
Just before 2 on Sunday afternoon, the music started and the dancing began outside the Gendex Bus.
About 50 dancers showed off their moves during Gendex’s flash mob, while a crowd of show attendees gathered to watch the performance. The dancers created a lot of excitement and energy during their short show outside the Gendex Bus, which included some break dancing and even a few back flips. And by the end of the show, these local talents were even sporting Experience Gendex t-shirts.
A few video cameras were on hand to capture the moment, and there are plans to post video to YouTube, Gendex Senior Art Director Gary Piper said. Dental Products Report also captured the show on video, and you’ll find our coverage in Tuesday’s show daily.
So why a flash mob at a dental meeting? It fits perfectly with the Experience Gendex tour-it’s Gendex bringing the dental community something different and having fun at the same time, Piper said.
“It’s current. It’s relevant,” he said. “It’s something fun. It’s eye catching.”
It certainly was-what a fun way to start this year’s show. Can’t wait to see what they have planned for the next big dental meeting!
