EnviroKlenz Debuts New Air Purifier System
The new air purifier system is said to be 99.9% effective against viruses, including SARS-CoV-2.
Air quality and technology company EnviroKlenz has debuted a new air purifier system manufactured specifically for the dental industry. The healthcare-oriented EnviroKlenz® Source Capture System features a unique hose that is designed to remove 99.9% of viruses from the air, including SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The Source Capture System is a standalone air purifier with a suction hose that captures the airborne pathogens and droplets that may escape from a patient’s oral cavity during a procedure. It uses a patented earth mineral technology in a “direct point of source” system.
The unit also utilizes 3 filtration methods—a patented EnviroKlenz Air Cartridge, a HEPA filter, and UV-C bulbs. These 3 filtration methods, along with the adjustable hose, allows users to position the Source Capture System to draw air from the origination point.
The EnviroKlenz Air Cartridge is reportedly effective against toxic odors and chemicals while the medical-grade HEPA filter captures harmful particulates, microorganisms, and more. The system’s UV-C lamps continuously radiate on the collection-side of the HEPA filter, which is said to ensure the high efficiency of killing collected organisms.

The Source Capture System is said to use the same filtration technology as other EnviroKlenz product offerings. This technology is reportedly 99.9% effective in reducing viruses, according to recent testing. When it is not in use, it can also be used as a complete room air purifier
